Data Protection and Privacy Statement

Following the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018, Hall & Pickles 1812 Limited reviewed its privacy and data protection policies and procedures. The company recognises its obligations arising from the enhanced requirements of the GDPR in respect of personal data and remains committed to protecting the privacy of such data.

Data Collection

The company will collect and store such personal data as required in order to undertake specific contracts and other business dealings between the parties. In the case of customers and suppliers, this will ordinarily comprise names, addresses, email addresses, telephone and mobile numbers. For employees, additional details such as National Insurance number and bank details are also held, along with other information necessary to comply with current legal requirements. The company will only ask for data that is required in order to fulfil its legitimate purposes.

Data Processing

The company will restrict access to personal data which is to be processed and will only process such data for legitimate purposes such as the performance of contracts, legal obligations or other legitimate business interests. Data will not be shared with third parties except when there is a legal obligation or with the consent of the individual.

Data Protection

The company maintains both physical and technical security measures. These provisions are reviewed periodically and updated as appropriate. Access to personal data is limited to suitably authorised personnel and third parties who are required to be in compliance with the GDPR.

Data Retention

Personal data will be retained for as long as is necessary for fulfilment of contracts or ongoing business dealings. Additionally, data will be retained where there is a current legal or regulatory requirement to do so and the duration of such retention shall be in line with the latest legal guidelines.

Data Subject Rights

Individuals have the right to access personal data held by the company and where appropriate to request correction, deletion or access restriction. Any queries regarding personal data held should be addressed to the HR Manager in the first instance. Hall & Pickles 1812 Limited undertakes to deal with any such requests in a timely manner.
